Our not-for-profit organization will forward these funds to the care of rescuers like Irena; those who were rescuers during the Holocaust and are currently living in poverty in Poland. All donations go to the ASSOCIATION OF THE CHILDREN OF THE HOLOCAUST IN POLAND (please see their letter below). This association takes care of those surviving resucers of Jewish children and adults.Your donation will help with the purchase of wheelchairs, health care needs, etc.
If you so designate, your donations will go to the Irena Sendler project for developing 'Life in a Jar' type projects--those teaching respect of others--in schools across America. Contributions can also be made for student expenses incurred with Life in a Jar travel, or to the Student Scholarship Fund directed by Howard Jacobson.
There are three ways to contribute. We are a non-profit foundation - 501 C 3 - Life in a Jar. All donations are tax deductible.
| The students take a jar, 'Life in a Jar', to each presentation. The money collected in the jar is sent for care of Polish rescuers who saved Jewish children |
If you would like to help the students care for RESCUERS like Irena Sendler, please send a check to the address below. We send 100% of the donation to the The Jewish Child Survivors organization in Warsaw/(donations are tax deductible)
PLEASE MAKE THE CHECK OUT TO: LIFE IN A JAR.

Dear Friends,
The Association “Children of the Holocaust” in Poland assembles 700 people miraculously
rescued from death. The Association’s mission is to preserve the memory about the tragic experience of Jews in the years of Holocaust. We run educational programs. During our
meetings with school students we give talks about heroes – people who at the peril of their life and of the life of their relatives saved Jews during the Nazi occupation. There are about
1000 people living in Poland honored with the title “Righteous Among the Nations”. They are 85 years old on the average, ill and living in poverty. We nominated the Assistance
Committee for the Righteous Among the Nations to give them the help which is within our reach. We gave them holiday packages, helped them to buy things like hearing aids, glasses, and dentures, to obtain more expensive medicines, payment for nursing help, journeys to specialist doctors, care in nursing homes, payment for fuel for the Winter, and other necessities - but our modest possibilities do not let us to help the entire group in all its needs. We are taking this opportunity to ask you to help us in our efforts. We would like to take this opportunity and thank to Norman Conard and his students for the entire moral and financial support. The money they send us increases our budget for helping the Righteous. Their unceasing activity in favor of Irena Sendler reminds of generous and heroic attitudes of the Righteous. Help us to help them.
On behalf of the organization
Children of the Holocaust
